This week we had a really strange storm in So Cal. I know, you’re thinking I’m crazy because it’s just some rain right? Well guess what? This is California. When it rains here, we truly believe it must be some crazy sign of the apocalypse ok? I actually had to take off my bikini for the first time in months and wear like, real clothes.
/sarcasm
I took all these with my Canon Powershot SD750 because, well, I was on the freeway when I took them. And there is no way I’m hanging my D40 out the window when I have one hand on the wheel still. I might drop it.
My boy comes home tonight after spending a week in Tahoe with his nina. I miss the little bugger although I’m pretty sure all that will go out the window about 10 minutes after he gets home. And I’m pretty sure I’m being generous with the 10 minutes. This is of course after some serious snuggling which I am sure is bound to go down. He is a mama’s boy after all.

Taken with my D40 the weekend before he left. Ahh my heart right there.

Your skyscape shots are amazing. Such interesting cloud patterns. Have fun with your little man when he gets home.
ok-i think we were visiting eachothers site as the same time. lol
love the pics!! its rained like crazy here friday and just brought humidity. grrr
btw:love the new layout!!
I love all the cloud shots!! I’m obsessed with them myself! Great takes! And the last shot is wonderful! Mine came home today after a week with his grandparents and I felt the same way…glad ot have him back – for about 10 minutes *G*
The best part of a journey is the coming home part at the end.
I like the storm shots – very ominous. And the coming home to bring it around brightly – I understand the 10 minutes or less bit, too.
Sick storm clouds..
and welcome home little man…
ps..did you get the book yet??
Those storm cloud pictures are amazing!!!!!!! Wow.
Totally understand about the hangin’ out the window thing {not that I would ever take my hands off the wheel to snap a picture *ahem*}
Such a CUTIE!!! Welcome Home darlin’ boy
Neat storm shots! I thought they were in B&W at first.
PS your pictures look shitty with those lines from your background going through them. Fix it.
Or dont.
But seriously, it detracts. Maybe you could make them less transparent? I dont know what the problem is.
1) love the look of the blog
2) love you
3) love these shots
4) Jessie may be wrong.
Great shots. I particularly love the dramatic angle and contrast of the third one.
(5) jessie may be right because there are clearly lines going through the pictures.
Love that last storm pic. shot…that’s quite the sky!
6) Actually, it depends on what kind of browser you are using. So clearly, the whole arguement is invalid.
Now about it being “shitty”, well I guess that’s really opinion, not actual fact. Consider this issue closed.
(7) lol
I love your sky shots, very cool. Especially the first one. We’ve been seeing skies like that a lot lately. But thunderstorms aren’t unusual on the other coast
Sorry I’m so late visiting your Weekly Winners. It’s been a crazy week!
God, you’re a great photographer too. My fave is the one of the boy, though. I hear ya about the homecoming thing, hope you got some good snuggling!
yeah, the lines are distracting. they give the photo’s an old, found in the attic box kind of look, if you like that kind of thing.
don’t know that it is the browser, does it on IE and MF for me…
