2009. It’s kinda general knowledge that 2009 sucked. When I look back on it now, it doesn’t seem all that bad but that’s because I have a terrible memory and I can only really recall the second half. Or maybe I blocked the first half out. Either way, I’ve said goodbye to 2009 and I’m very much looking forward to 2010.

Bring it on.

Here’s our Year in Pictures.

January found us visiting friends. Oh, and a brand new President.

February we had our first trip to Disneyland with Nic and Princess D.

March brought an 8th birthday and a 27th birthday. Also, meeting VDog and seeing Chris Mann.

April means Opening Day! We walked for Maddie, explored LA, and I went to Vegas with Flo and we met up with VDog and Kel.

May means more baseball, the Mets came to town (We had to SWEEP them), swimming and a trip to SD to visit Nic.

June brought visitors from Iowa and lots more baseball.

July meant a good friend’s wedding, a Princess’ birthday, and Chicago to meet the people in my computer and to drink too much.

August meant the start of fire season and a weekend trip to SD which included Legoland with Nic and Nancy.

September brought with it soccer, box seats, Flo’s birthday and Erinpalooza!

October… we love October around here. October meant the Baseball Hall of Fame, a Mets Game, Thai food for the first time, and a lot of kisses and more love than I knew what to do with. I also said goodbye to Flo, but just as a co-worker.

November meant Thanksgiving in San Francisco, visiting my grandpa’s ship The Hornet, going to see Mary Poppins with my mom, and another trip to Disneyland.

December meant multiple trips to Disneyland, visiting the beach with Kel and the fam, an awesome trip to Vegas (most definitely NOT pictured), and a Christmas with family.

2009 started off tough. There’s no doubt about that. But halfway through the year, everything changed. There were so many reasons to smile again.  I’m in love, I’m soon to have a 9 year old, we are all happy and healthy and I just know that 2010 is going to be our year.

Here’s to it!
